Temperature Heating Wire Insulation Made with Teflon® Fluoropolymer
We offer copper and resistance wires with custom insulations made with Teflon® fluoropolymer insulations such as Tefzel® (rated 150 °C), FEP (rated 200°C), TPE tape (rated 250°C) and PFA (rated 250°C). For higher tempurature requirements
we offer glass serve/braids, nextel overbraids
and Kapton® tape wraps.
For thermometer bulbs and other cable applications we offer Balco wire which has a high temperature coefficient of resistance. This
electrical wire has a coefficient similar to nickel, and twice
the resistivity. The slope of the resistance curve is almost
straight from -70°C to 600°C (-94°F to 1112°F).
Balco high temperature wire performance conforms to ASTM specification
B-267 Alloy Class 8.
