Some of the processes that go into making the above mentioned
products include but are not limited to:
STRANDING
Pelican Wire has a wide array of stranders and bunchers to twist
many types of fine gauge wire from 40AWG to 20AWG.
TAPING
Pelican Wire has several single and double head taping machines.
We can insulate with KAPTON®, TEFLON® fluoropolymer,
ALUMINUM MYLAR® and ALUMINIZED KAPTON®, MICA and other
tapes according to your needs.
BRAIDING
We also have several metal and fiber glass braiders for all
your needs. We braid:
Cotton, Nylon, E & S Glass, Nextel, Silver Plated Copper
(SPC), Tin Plated Copper (TPC), Nickel Plated Copper (NPC) and
Stainless Steel (SS) alloys.
EXTRUDING
We extrude
PFA, FEP, TEFZEL®, NYLON, PVC, HYTREL® and Polyethylene
(XLPE) from 40 to 2 gauge wire.
SERVING
We can single, double and triple serve with Cotton, Nylon and E & S Glass to manufacture
high temperature applications. We can double/triple serve
for better performance.
CURING/ Liquid Dip Insulating
We can produce very thin walled insulations for your small wire
size requirements using the liquid dip/curing technique. Most
commonly used insulating materials are TFE, Polyimide, Nylon,
Polyethylene and Formvar® insulations.
